- Her last name was Goynet on her death record therefore it is assumed that she was single.
- Her obituary notes this individual as the aunt of the children of Feliciana (Barnech) Valdez. Based on other records, Feliciana's father Jean Barneche was the nephew of Theresa's father Jean Goyeneche, therefore they would be cousins not siblings. On the 1940 census, she was living with her cousin Frank Valdez (18 years old) which provides additional proof of the relationship. It is possible that the Valdez children were so close to their cousin that they considered her their aunt.
