Her parents were Nicolas Escos and Marie Jaureguy (d. 1818), owners of the house of Ospitalea.

Marie married Bernard Leiza or Lerissa on 12 Apr 1820 in Ospitalea, Behorleguy, France. Bernard (son of Jean Gorostiague or Leiza and Marie Marguerite Espil dit Irigoin) was born about 1792 in Arostalde, Behorleguy, France; died on 22 May 1842 in Ospitalea, Behorleguy, France. Birth:
The record prior to Nicolas was Marie Recalde on 1 Jan 1821 and the record immediately following was Jean Indart on 28 Feb 1821. This leaves almost 7 weeks before Nicolas' birth and a week after for a mistaken birth date.

Died:
There is no mention of this child in any later records of this family. So it is assumed that he died young. There is death record of a Nicolas Leiza who died on 2/10/1821 and was 16 days/months? old at the time of his death. Either way this would not be possible unless there was an error on one of the dates.

L'an mil huit cent trente trois le quatre août a été enterré par l'abbé Ahado par moi curé de Lecumberry et soussigné le corps de Jean Arostalde dhospital fils legitime de Bernard Arostalde et de Marie Escos maîtres de la maison hospital. Le mort n'a cet enfant est mort le quatrième jours après la naissance j'ai couché cet acte sur mes registres sur la declaration de Mr Ahado absent dans ce moment. Ithurrihou et le père du décédé qui n'a point su signer ont assisté à l'enterrement.
