Arabelle H. Maitia, 85, passed away December 1, 2010. Born in Corning, CA. on March 9, 1925, she grew up in Flournoy, CA. She married Mike Maitia on November 23, 1944, and they lived at the Mitchel Ranch north east of Paskenta for a short time before moving to Fort Klamath, OR., later they moved back to Flournoy to raise their family.
Arabelle is survived by her husband Mike, daughter Smoky Hutchens, sons Doug Maitia and Ross Maitia, 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Private services will be held at a later date.

Services Held for Babs Arambel, 51; Services were held Saturday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock for Bernard (Babs) Vincent Arambel, 51, of Westley who suddenly passed away early December 3 at Del Puerto Hospital. Final rites were Conducted by the Modesto Order of Elks. Interment was at Del Puerto Cemetery. Arambel farmed on the West Side for 22 years, having land in Patterson, Westley and Vernalis. His sudden death came as a shock to the many friends he has made during that long period. He entered the hospital Wednesday night because of pains in his chest and shoulder, but he gave no indication of being seriously ill. The next morning at 7:30 he chatted with a doctor, and then died shortly after the doctor's departure. Mrs. Arambel and he had recent checkups, which showed nothing wrong with his heart, in preparation for a planned trip to Mexico this month. He was born in Elmodeno, Orange County, California on June 17,1902.

Surviving are his widow, Lillie, of Westley; a sister, Mary Arambel of Elmodeno; two brothers, Paul of Modesto and
Louis of El Sereno. Pall bearers were Gene, Robert and Harold Arambel, Earl Sutherland, Herb Signorotti and John
Iriart of Tracy.
